How do I complete the General tab of a new Caregiver profile?

The General tab of a Caregiver profile is just that: general information about the Caregiver. Most of the fields are self explanatory, but there are a few things to keep in mind:

1.
The minimum amount of information needed to create a new Caregiver profile is: first name, last name, SSN, and a communication method:

  • If e-mail is selected as the Communication Method, an email address must be entered in the Caregiver profile.
  • If call is selected, a number that can receive automated calls must be entered in the Phones section.
  • If sms is selected, a number that can receive text messages must be entered in the Phones section.
2. The Status list cannot be edited, but you can use the Status Reason list to give a little more detail about a Caregiver's status.
3. To add a new phone number, click the blue Add button next to the Phones section:

  • If call is selected as Communication Method, a number that can receive calls must be entered here and Use for Auto-dialing must be checked. If the number is a landline, click on the Device Type drop down menu and select Home-Phone. If the number is a cell phone, make sure Use for Auto-dialing is checked and Cell is selected for Device Type.
  • If sms is selected as Communication Method, a number that can receive text messages must be entered here and use for Auto-dialing must be checked. Cell must be selected as the Device Type.
4. If the Permanent Address and Local Address are the same, click Copy from Permanent Address:

  • To include this Caregiver in mileage/zip code radius searches for Shifts and Travel Needs, check Use for Mileage Calcs.
5. The Tax Setup section is informational only.
